Kikoa (team in Swahili) project team consist out of 5 enthusiastic students from 3 different master programs within the faculty Industrial Design Engineering. As students Industrial Design Engineering  we have the specialized background to come to an innovative design with creative tools where as well the functional aspects, as the production facilities and the users are taken into account. Besides the shared interest for designing, we also share a personal passion for designing of products with a high added value and that have a specific focus on the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP).

 

The Kikoa project team consist out of the following students:

• Marijke Verhoef & Sophie Lotgering; attending the master program Design for Interaction which is focused on the interaction between a product and its user and context of use. User research, interface design and context mapping are a part of their specialization.
• Laura Talsma & Nelliene Molenaar; specializing in the master direction Strategic Product Design. Consumer research, brand management and product strategy belong to their portfolio.
• Henriëtte Bunk; specialising in the master program Integrated Product Design. This master direction is focused on the design of products while taken into account the physical, cultural, technological and social context of the product.

 

 

Kikoa (team in het Swahili) bestaat uit 5 enthousiaste studenten van 3 verschillende master studies binnen de faculteit Industrial Design Engineering. Als studenten Industrieel Ontwerpen beschikken wij over de juiste achtergrond om met creatieve middelen tot een innovatief ontwerp te komen waarbij met zowel functionele aspecten, productiemiddelen en de gebruikers rekening wordt gehouden. Buiten de gezamenlijke interesse in het ontwerpen, delen we ook een persoonlijke passie in het ontwerpen van producten die een grote toegevoegde waarde hebben en die gericht zijn op de Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP).

 Kikoa bestaat uit de volgende mensen:

-Marijke Verhoef & Sophie Lotgering; samen volgen zij de master richting Design for Interaction die gericht is op de interactie tussen een product en zijn gebruiker en de context van het gebruik. Gebruikersonderzoek, interface design en context mapping zijn een onderdeel van hun specialisatie.

-Laura Talsma & Nelliene Molenaar; zij zijn samen gespecialiseerd op de strategische aspecten van productontwikkeling. Consumentenonderzoek, merk management en strategie behoren tot hun portfolio.

-Henriëtte  Bunk; zij is gespecialiseerd in de master richting Integrated Product Design. Dit vakgebied is geconcentreerd op het ontwerp van producten, met aandacht voor de fysieke, culturele, technologische en maatschappelijke context daarvan.
